Man rescued from deep gill after Lake District fall

Authorities in the Lake District sprang into action yesterday to rescue a man who had fallen into a deep gill while out hiking. The man, identified as John Smith from Manchester, was walking along a narrow path when he slipped and tumbled down the steep embankment.
