Hamilton tops Bahrain GP second practice
Lewis Hamilton continued his impressive form in the lead up to the Bahrain Grand Prix by setting the fastest time in the second practice session.
The Mercedes driver clocked a blistering lap time of 1:29.557, edging out his main rival Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing by just 0.097 seconds.
The reigning world champion looked in fine form as he aims to secure his first win of the season in Bahrain.
Hamilton’s teammate Valtteri Bottas also showed strong pace, finishing third in the session, just behind Verstappen.
The stage is set for an exciting battle between the top teams as they vie for pole position in qualifying tomorrow.
