Years to Restore Trust
Following the tragic death of Sarah Everard and the subsequent outcry for justice and societal change, it is clear that rebuilding trust will not happen overnight. The sense of safety and security that we once took for granted has been shattered, leaving many questioning the institutions and systems meant to protect us.
It will take years of dedicated effort and reform to restore trust in law enforcement, the judicial system, and society as a whole. This process must begin with acknowledging the failures that allowed such a tragedy to occur and committing to real, tangible change.
We must listen to the voices of those who have been marginalized and victimized, and work together to create a world where everyone feels safe and respected. Only then can we hope to heal the wounds caused by Sarah Everard’s death and prevent such senseless tragedies from happening again.
