Father wants cyber-bullying law after Mia’s death
After the tragic death of his daughter, Mia, due to cyber-bullying, a grieving father is now calling for stricter laws to prevent such incidents from happening again.
Mia, a 16-year-old high school student, took her own life after being relentlessly bullied online by her peers. Her father, John, believes that more needs to be done to protect young people from the harmful effects of cyber-bullying.
“No parent should have to go through what I have experienced,” John said. “We need laws in place that hold bullies accountable for their actions and provide support for victims.”
John is working with lawmakers to draft legislation that would make cyber-bullying a criminal offense and provide resources for those affected by it. He hopes that by sharing Mia’s story, he can raise awareness about the devastating consequences of online harassment.
“Mia’s death should not be in vain,” John said. “We need to take action now to prevent future tragedies.”
