Haiti gangs demand PM resign after mass jailbreak
Several gangs in Haiti have demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Ariel Henry following a mass jailbreak in Port-au-Prince. Over 400 inmates escaped from the Croix-des-Bouquets prison on the outskirts of the capital city.
The gangs have called for the PM’s resignation, accusing him of failing to maintain law and order in the country. The prison break has raised concerns about the security situation in Haiti, which has been plagued by political turmoil and violence in recent years.
The Prime Minister has condemned the jailbreak and vowed to bring the escapees to justice. He has also promised to strengthen security measures in the country to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
The international community has expressed concern over the situation in Haiti and called for calm and dialogue to resolve the crisis. The United Nations and other organizations have offered assistance to help restore stability in the country.
