Music Exodus from TikTok

More music leaving TikTok over Universal row

Recently, there has been a growing dispute between music labels and popular social media platform TikTok. This comes after Universal Music Group asked TikTok to remove its catalog of music as they were unable to come to a licensing agreement.

As a result, more and more artists are pulling their music from TikTok in solidarity with Universal. This includes some of the biggest names in the industry such as Taylor Swift, Drake, and Billie Eilish.

Many creators on TikTok are worried about the impact this will have on their content as music plays a crucial role in the platform’s popularity. Without access to Universal’s vast catalog of music, creators may have to find alternative sources or risk losing engagement with their audience.

It remains to be seen how TikTok will respond to this situation and whether they will be able to reach a new agreement with Universal. In the meantime, it looks like there will be less music available on TikTok, which could drastically change the landscape of the platform.
