Aldershot army officer sentenced for sending sexual images

An army officer based in Aldershot has been sentenced for sending sexually explicit images to another person. The officer, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to the charges in court last week.

The court heard that the officer had sent the images via text message to a colleague, who later reported the incident to their superiors. The officer was immediately suspended from duty pending an investigation.

Following the investigation, the officer was found guilty of misconduct and was sentenced to six months in prison. The judge also ordered the officer to undergo mandatory counseling and to register as a sex offender.
