Zoo welcomes one of world’s smallest monkeys
The local zoo recently welcomed a new addition to their primate exhibit – one of the world’s smallest monkeys, the pygmy marmoset. The tiny primate is native to the rainforests of South America and is known for its miniature size and adorable appearance.
Visitors to the zoo have been delighted by the playful antics of the pygmy marmoset, as it swings from branch to branch and grooms its fellow exhibit mates. Despite its small size, the pygmy marmoset is a highly social animal and is often seen interacting with its family group.
Zookeepers have been working closely with the new addition to ensure its health and well-being. The pygmy marmoset has access to a variety of enrichment activities, including climbing structures and foraging opportunities, to keep it mentally and physically stimulated.
If you’re planning a visit to the zoo soon, be sure to stop by the primate exhibit to catch a glimpse of the adorable pygmy marmoset in action!
