Horsham: Man speaks of horror after tree falls on bus and van

A man in Horsham is speaking out after a terrifying incident involving a falling tree that damaged a bus and a van. The incident occurred last Tuesday afternoon when strong winds caused a large tree to topple over, landing on a passing bus and van.

The man, who was a passenger on the bus at the time of the incident, described the horror of hearing a loud crash and feeling the bus shake as the tree came crashing down. “It was a terrifying experience,” he said. “I thought we were all going to be crushed.”

Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the incident, but both the bus and van sustained significant damage. The local authorities have since removed the fallen tree and are investigating the cause of the incident.

The man is urging for more precautions to be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future. “This could have been a lot worse,” he said. “We need to make sure that trees are properly maintained and monitored to avoid any more accidents like this.”
